The Zoo Trip

On Wednesday, my class filled the marble jar.
When we went to the zoo, I was in Mrs Thomson's group.
First, we went to see the fluffy monkeys that were hanging upside down and  being funny.

When we got to a table, we sat down and had morning tea.
When Mrs Thomson went around the corner, there was a door that led to a room of birds then we stopped. A kaka landed on Mr Brosnan, then on Mackenzie then it finally landed on me.
Giraffes.JPGI giggled.
When we got to the giraffes, we all had a photo with them.
When we got to the classroom, we saw a rhino horn.

Narrative

It was a sunny day. Taylor and Josh asked their mum ,
“Can we see the giraffes?”
Their mum said OK and told them to  meet her at the waterfall so they could have lunch.
They ran off to the giraffe enclosure but  the giraffes were not there.
'Maybe they are having a swim,' thought Taylor, so they ran over to the other side. They were not there either.
“Where are they?”  asked Taylor.
Josh didn't know either.
Suddenly, they saw the giraffe run past, so Josh and Taylor rang the zoo keeper. He said that he would be there as quick as he could.
When the zoo-keeper got there with his long black net, he put the net over  the giraffe's long neck.
When they got back to the waterfall, they said, “That was a long day.”

Dream World

It was the first time I went  to Dream World.
First, I hopped out of the bus and looked at the Tower of Terror.I was scared at first because it was fast going up.
We waited in the big line for an hour. It was as long I shied how long will it the ling
Slowly, we got to the front of the long line. It was so long  I could not waste timeAs we walked into the big entry of Dream World we saw the Wiggles and they were all dressed up.
The  first ride I went on was the Wiggles' big red car. While we went around, we saw Wags, the big brown dog going down the slide.
Next, we went to the Kung Fu Panda. We jumped in Po's cart for a ride. Round and round we went. I got dizzy.

The Big Boom

On Wednesday night, we let off the big booming fireworks.
We opened the big boom box with 25 fireworks in it.
When I lit off the big red and blue booming fireworks, it gave me a huge fright. The fireworks were scattered all over the place with silver sparks.
The 2nd firework that we let off was small. When we lit it off, it was as big as an elephant, with yellow and glitter.
I said, "I wish it was every day."

Fish And Chips For Dinner

I think that we should have fish and chips for dinner after you hear my reasons.
My first reason is that we can have as much as we want. You can buy a 10 pack chips.
My second reason is that it is healthy. The potatoes in the hot chips are healthy.

Anti-Bullying Poem.

If you are mean,
it is not cool.
You sit laughing.
If you are mean,
 you are a coward,
a horrible coward.
So be nice, don't copy.

Holy Thursday Liturgy

Holy Thursday Liturgy

It was now the time of Passover. Jesus’ followers came to Him and said, “We will go and prepare everything for the Passover Feast. Where do you want to eat the feast?” Jesus answered, “Go into the city. A man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him. He will go into a house. Tell the owner of the house, “The teacher wants you to prepare the room for the Passover meal.” So the followers left and went into the city and prepared the Passover Feast.
In the evening, Jesus went to that house with the twelve. While they were eating, Jesus took the bread and gave God thanks and praise. He broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said: “Take this, all of you, and eat it; this is my body which will be given up for you.”

When supper was ended, he took the cup. Again he gave God thanks and praise, gave the cup to his disciples, and said: “Take this, all of you, and drink from it; this is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant. It will be shed for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven. Do this in memory of me.”

After some time, Jesus got up from the table and went to a different part of the room.  He put a large towel around him, making himself look like a servant.  After that, he poured water into a large bowl and began to wash the disciples' feet.  He then dried them with the towel that was wrapped around Him.

When Jesus had finished washing all of the disciples’ feet, he returned to the table.  "Do you understand what I have done for you?"  Jesus asked them.
Jesus is like a King - but even greater than a king, He's the King of Kings!  By washing the disciples’ feet, He was doing something that only a servant would do.
This is an example of how you should treat others.  You don't have to actually wash other people's feet, but do kind things to others and act like a servant for Jesus.

Hot Air Balloon

In the morning, on Friday, our class went to the field to go in the hot air balloon. The balloon was called Wildfire. It was red, orange and yellow and it was huge like a red, orange and yellow giant. The big cane basket was brown.
We lined up for a turn. We all got a turn. First Mrs Thomson went up in the sky in the hot air balloon.  Our whole school got a turn then I had yummy warm pancakes and a hot  chocolate. It was nice. Charlotte, Quinn and I went on the playground and played on the spider web.  We could still see the bright colourful hot air balloon from the very top.
It was fun until the bell rang.

Ash Wednesday

Honey Bees

What I found out: The bees go to 100 flowers. They have two stomachs - a honey stomach and a regular stomach. They collect the nectar and pollen. They put the nectar into their honey stomachs. They fly back to the hive. They pass it onto another bee. The other bee chews the nectar for about half an hour. They spread the watery nectar into the honeycombs, then it gets thicker and drier. It becomes honey.
